Tire Warehouse Inc. is a privately owned corporation based in New Hampshire. It's been operating for over 35 years and employs more than 250 persons. It has been listed among the top 30 independent tire retailers in the United States and Canada by the National Tire Dealer and Retreader's Association.
STS Tire, which is the short form of Somerset Tire Service, began in 1958 in Somerset County, NJ. It has grown over its history to over 110 locations throughout New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania and it ranks in the top 5 of the largest independently owned tire and auto dealers in the US.
In addition to tires, Mavis Tire sells, provides and fits shock absorbers, struts, brakes, wheel alignments, and even oil changes. It also offers many services for free, as well as a number of great guarantees.
After the succesful opening of the first Merchant's Tire (or MT) retail store in Manassas, a second store was established in Centreville. The company grew by 1972 to twelve stores. In the years to come, MT continued its expansion, concentrating on the East Coast of America. Stores were built in York, Pennsylvania; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Baltimore, Maryland; and the Northern Virginia/Metro D.C. area.
The Tire Catalogue was first published in 1928. It's become something much more than just a piece of paper with a few tire offers since those earlier days when the founding partners decided to promote mail order to Canada.
